Buddahs Blessing - a special day

When I was six weeks old, my Nanna arranged a blessing from the Thai Buddist Monks. All my family and friends came. The Buddist Monks did some chanting and blessed me with holy water. When a baby is born it is perfect therefore the first change to this baby (cutting the hair) is done with ceremonial status and a blessing. The Monks cut some of my hair and then invited my Grandad, Poppa, my Dad and close male relatives to also cut the hair. Everyone couldn't believe how good I was - I didn't cry once! It was a very special ceremony and a great day.
